It forms part of a $150,000 investment in towns and villages across the New England under this funding initiative. Latest grant recipients include Nundle School of Arts Memorial Hall Committee ($20,000); Ben Lomond War Memorial Hall ($7,500); The Hub Guyra ($4,000); Riding for the Disabled Armidale ($5,300); Sunnyside Hall Management Committee Tenterfield ($12,500); Tenterfield Pony Club ($7,615); Deepwater Tennis Club ($7,987); Tamworth Regional Craft Centre ($4,041); Barraba Art and Craft Guild ($14,500); Aberdeen Pre School ($8,394); Scone Arts and Crafts ($2,500) and Scone Aero Club ($20,000) to name but a few. This funding will make a real difference in the lives of local people, especially during this time of drought when many are still doing it tough despite recent rain. It is vitally important we fund not only the big infrastructure projects but less prominent ones too because not-for-profit groups like these are vital for our local communities in the New England.
