Booragul Angus was founded by Tim Vincent at a very young age and has continued to develop over the last 37 years to where it is today as a highly regarded modern breeding program blending selected genetics to maximise profits of the commercial and stud industries. The initial females were purchased from Calleen Angus, these cows were inseminated to Summitcrest Powerplay and VPI Lord Patriot. These two sires were considered to be the first leading genetics of their time and we were fortunate enough to have some of their first progeny in Australia which had a tremendous impact on our foundation herd. Today, Booragul Angus is a family operation consisting of wife Margaret and children Amy & Hayden. It is spread across 3 properties in Northern NSW located between Tamworth and Gunnedah, producing up to 80 bulls a year in conjunction with a grain growing operation and small feedlot enterprise supplying cattle direct to Coles Supermarket. Tim has been involved in the Angus Youth Development winning the National Judging competition in 1992 and receiving the Illinois Scholarship to study in the USA. He has judged at many regional and interstate shows and more recently has joined the Angus Society Northern Development Consultative Committee.
